Looking for a safe clothing-optional beach

The wife and I plan to visit the Indian Rocks Beach area in January 2013 for a short vacation. I am very interested in visiting a clothing-optional beach. Could anyone tell me if there are any in the area. Thanks very much.

Haulover Beach in Miami has an area of the beach that is a legal clothing optional beach. South Beach tends to allow nudity; more in the winter months when you will be there because of the large European clientele base then but this can change from day to day.

There are many deserted beach areas on Florida's massive coast and people tell me they find a spot, wear swim gear in the beginning and slowly disrobe-out of sight.

Also, many bathers hide behind large sand dunes and big umbrellas that shield a lot of skin. Unfortunately, around Indian Rocks, there are no sanctioned nude beaches. Otherwise, I think you will love Indian Rocks!
