Playalinda Beach Florida is Spanish for “pretty beach” and it certainly is. Located on the east coast of Florida in Cape Canaveral, Playalinda remains a beautiful stretch of undeveloped beach.

Known for many years as a nude beach, Playalinda has morphed into a beach for everyone. However, you will still find a big group of singles and couples who trek here to sit in the sun and relax au natural.

It’s not an official nude beach, so we’re not telling you to wear only your birthday suit, but we are told that when it comes to nudity, the laws are very rarely enforced so most visitors are comfortable either way. The laws are enforced only when people complain and if the ‘nudes’ don’t give any reason to complain, everyone can do their own thing.

At Playalinda Beach Florida, we have found that those who wish to bare-it-all will quietly disrobe after settling down on a towel in an out-of-the-way area and go unnoticed.

Even though participants here are discriminating, there are better beaches in the surrounding areas in which to take children. Many of those offer a variety of amusements to entertain kiddies.

This is just a pretty, relaxing beach to go to if you’re looking for a little seclusion, romance and perhaps a bit of uncensored sunning.

Great activities to try and nearby attractions:

• You’re not far from many tourist attractions here. Check out the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando for a day of fun and learning.

• See what life is like among salt marshes, hammock forests and coastal sand dunes for lots of native wildlife at the 140,000 acre Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.

• Enjoy more untouched beauty by visiting more beaches at the Canaveral National Seashore. Each beach is unique and offers different experiences.

• Try nearby Apollo Beach for some family-friendly fun in the sun.

Kids of most ages: There are other beaches nearby without nudity if that bothers you and some of them offer beach volleyball and a few sand games.

Encourage kids to create their fun by swimming, building sandcastles, taking turns burying each other in the sand and playing games they hopefully brought with them.

Eating: For good steak and seafood, try Blackbeard's Inn.

Mon Delice is a great place to go for a snack or a desert afterwards. They have very unique and tasty treats.

Sleeping: A stay at the Playa Linda Beach Resort in nearby Palm Beach will not disappoint.
