Sunny Isles Florida
Where is it? Sunny Isles Florida is located northeast of Miami on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.
We were fooled, too. Sunds like a cozy little place tucked out of the way but in reality, it is a thriving, wonderful resort area with high-rise condos and hotels.
Sunny Isles: A Wonderful Vacation Spot
It’s less populated than the more popular beaches in the vicinity but still provides the same glorious combination of soft white sand and aquamarine water.
Sunny Isles Florida “loves their residents and visitors" and says so on pennants that hang around the town.
Whatever language you speak, you can probably find someone to converse with. Visitors come by the droves and speak languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Mandarin, Polish… and the list goes on!
This is the place you sneak off to when you want to experience the same high class and busy hustle and bustle of Miami Beach without the crowds. Visit once and you will make Sunny Isles Florida the place for your next vacation!
While you are so close, see what
Ft Lauderdale
has to offer. A great drive down south will take you to Key West for some fabulous Key Lime Pie.
Great activities to try and nearby attractions:
- Everyone knows that Sunny Isles is the place to pamper yourself. Enjoy a spa day at ESPA Acqualina, Le Meridein Sunny Isles Beach- Spa or Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort.
Make sure your wallet is full or your credit card has lots of room on it so you can spend the day browsing and shopping on the famous Collins Avenue strip (think Rodeo Drive) where you can find designer labels like Nicole Miller, Giroux shoes, Kenneth Cole and the Armani Exchange.
Visit nearby
Miami Beach
for some faster paced fun and don't miss
Haulover Beach.
Haulover Beach has two distinct areas. One end is for everyone and the other, well, it has the only legal nude beach around so while you are here, why not get that all-over tan that you can brag about but probably won't show off?
Kids of most ages: Kids will enjoy spending hours playing in the fine white sand while you relax and sip on your favorite summer beverage.
Eating: Check out NAOE for some delicious authentic Japanese cuisine or feast on some of the freshest sushi at Sumo Sushi Bar & Grill.
Sleeping: Relax in the lap of luxury at the Golden Strand Ocean Villa Resort.
For a great value, check out Days Hotel Thunderbird Beach Resort Miami.
